Do you know God?

We love to tell people about our church, but we love even more to tell people about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus made it possible for us sinful humans to have a relationship with our holy God.

The Bible makes it clear that we are all sinners. “There is none righteous, not even one.” (Romans 3:10 NASB)  “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23 NASB) 

Sin requires a penalty of permanent spiritual death, but God, in Christ, gave us a gift of eternal spiritual life. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 NASB) 

This gift of life for guilty sinners came about because Christ Himself died for us. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) 

You can be saved from the penalty of sin and receive God’s gift of eternal life by simply calling on the Lord in prayer, confessing your sin in repentance and asking for God’s forgiveness. “for whoever will call on the Name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NASB)  

A sample prayer might be:  “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. Please become a part of my life and grant me eternal life in Christ. Amen”

Please understand that these are not exclusive words. This is not a magical incantation. However, if you direct your heart and mind toward God as you pray this prayer, believing that God hears you, you will be saved.
